Hangzhou make Melbourne home

Chinese Super League side Hangzhou Greentown are preparing for their upcoming AFC Champions League campaign in Melbourne.

The club have based themselves in the Victorian capital for the last week and a half, taking on various Victorian Premier League sides in a number of trial games.

Hangzhou, home to Australian player Adam Griffiths, were founded in 1998 and won promotion to the CSL in 2006.

Their best result since reaching the top flight came last season when they finished fourth, which saw them qualify for their first ever ACL campaign.

It could be said the club has somewhat of an identity crisis, changing it's name seven times since 2002.

On Tuesday night Hangzhou took on VPL side Melbourne Knights, romping to a comfortable 5-0 win.

Asian Football Feast would like to thank Steven Chang for supplying some photos from the game.
